Snow!!!!!!
Well it's just started snowing again at work.
Personally I love driving in the snow, It's all the idiots that can't drive that ruin it for everyone!
How are all you guys coping?
The MX5 handles the snow very well! I'm really impressed with it

Re: Snow!!!!!!
My E36 is off the road this week due to swopping a steering wheel with someone down south.
Kinda of glad too with all the salt they've put down, wouldnt like that to eat through my paintwork! haha
Been using my dads old diesel Clio! Good little run around although doesnt always start! Been great fun driving it in the snow! haha
I'm with Phil though, the number of idiots around is stupid! The usual tricks:
- driving far slower than needed
- driving at normal speed limits in built up areas (out on the 60mph country roads, on the long striaghts I was doing about 30 tops, but braking well in time for corners etc, and very gently!)
-the worst, people braking as if it's normal conditions, last min, then wonder why they're going stright on!
Gets my back up! Still had a gud fun on the loal car park! (even if it was FWD
)

Re: Snow!!!!!!
i'm managing fine in my van, driving on icy roads aint that bad if you allow for the condition and dont just rag through the gears like a nob. I have just picked the bm up to go Trafford centre tonight so will see how I get on with it in these conditions. Should be able to have a bit of fun in the car park maybe......

Re: Snow!!!!!!
I have just ot back from the trafford centre, saw a nasty crash on m61 on way there, must have just happened as no police present. A car was on the hard shoulder with hazards on, another car was stuck in the central reservation with no lights on blocking the outside lane. It was snowing and hard to see when travelling around 70mph. Luckily I was in the middle lane at the time. Hopefully no one was hurt. Be safe out there peeps.

Re: Snow!!!!!!
we have the same about 2" or so but its not really the snow thats the problem its the melted snow thats re frozen on the side roads and car parks that the problem, plus I have to go up and down a steep hill on the way to work and you can get stuck at the bottom if they dont grit.
